You will need to hold a facial treatment qualification as you will be required to cleanse, tone, exfoliate, identify skin types and offer ongoing skin care/product advice to your clients.

If you do not hold any qualifications and would like to train in this course, then you can complete our Bridging into Aesthetics Course which is £1999.

If you want only PRP with Derma-pen, we offer a separate course for this, which is only £699. Contact us for more information about this course.

This qualification covers the basic foundation facial treatment course which covers everything you need to know about carrying out a facial and knowledge of skincare.

There will be a half day practical element to enable you to safely undertake PRP skin preparation. To be certified and to demonstrate full competence each student is required to bring 2 (TWO) models to practice on and to demonstrate their knowledge.

Course content :
  • You will be required to complete a pre-course study which will be sent out via email to complete before attendance on the course.

  • Day 1 – Theory of PRP and Derma-pen

  • Day 2 – Theory of Phlebotomy

  • Background of Phlebotomy

  • Anatomy & Physiology of the arm including anatomy of the vein and site selection

  • Consultation and consent forms

  • Contra-indications and contra actions

  • Good and bad veins – which to use and which not to use

  • Complications that can arise during treatment

  • Health, Safety & Legislation and best practice

  • How to use a tourniquet

  • Infection Control

  • Needle stick injury and how to deal with it


This is a practical day and consists of :
  • Process of taking blood from an artificial arm in a correct and safe way and role play

  • Techniques and practical application of taking live bloods

  • Clinical assessments on live models

  • Learners are assessed on performance which has to be passed before completion of the course.

  • Application of the PRP with Derma-pen
